Beautiful School Displays.
Each class was given the theme of ‘ Tree’ to create a display of their choice. We have had some very artistic displays throughout the school which I thought would be lovely to share with you all.

Christmas Dinner and Jumper Day,
Maple Class had a fantastic day! They wore their Christmas jumpers and enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner after which they were treated to a virtual panto and a goodie bag full of treats.
Anti Bullying Day
Today in Maple Class we discussed being “United against Bullying” We spoke about why we were wearing odd socks and how positive it was to be different and unique. The children then designed an individual person to show how we are all different.
Creative RE
In Maple Class this week, we have been using different art and design techniques to celebrate Hindu symbols, which will soon be on display!
Maple Class 2018
A new academic year and the children have already made a strong start across the curriculum.
Most importantly, we have spent a lot of the week practicing and deepening our growth mindsets.
In maths we have learnt that mistakes are useful, speed isn’t as important as truly understanding and that tough challenges expand our mind!
The brain is a muscle, give it a workout!
Year 4 have talent – it’s official!
This morning we had the thrill of watching the dress rehearsal for Tanners Wood’s Got Talent. There were a variety of amazing acts. Year 4 led the way with dancing, magic, art and comedy. Be sure to watch the full performance at 3:30 this evening. Tickets available on the doors if you’ve not ordered in advance….proceeds to a good cause!
Visiting vicar
This afternoon Year 4 had a visit from Rev Peter who came in to answer questions from the children about Christianity, being a vicar, the Bible and things which happen in St Lawrence’s. We all found out a lot….your children asked really deep questions…. ask them what they learned.
