In Elm Class we learned lots about Mary Seacole and made a medal to say thank you to her for being such a brave lady. We also learned about black athletes such as Mo Farah and Usain Bolt. We then had our own mini Olympics!
Elm class enjoyed performing a seasons poem in groups in front of the class.
We had a great time using cuisinaire and rulers to measure everyday items. We even used cm’s.
After a successful dress rehearsal, KS1 are looking forward to their performance tomorrow.
In RE we are hearing a range of different religious stories from a variety of different religions. Today we heard the story Prince Siddhartha and the Swan, which is a Buddhist story about caring for animals. We made posters about how we would care for animals.
Elm class are learning to group 3D shapes in a variety of ways. They grouped the shapes by colours, whether they could roll and by how many faces or edges they have.
Super story telling by these two pupils. Excellent use of adjectives, story language and expression! They know this story well. Beauty and the Beast experts. ??
Elm class are using gram weights to work out how heavy or light objects weigh. Here are some photos of us in action!
