The children enjoyed team tech where they worked in teams to make shelves and games. They enjoyed the obstacle course, disco and fencing.
The children enjoyed a variety of games today on the beach including a sandcastle competition, chalk tattoos, circus games and stone stacking.
The children have settled into their rooms for the week and are enjoying all of the challenging activities that they have had to face so far. It has been lovely to see some wonderful examples of perseverance and resilience from lots of children already. Well done Year 6!
Last Friday , Y4 went to Oaklands College for the Sports Partnership County Finals. We had beaten 20 school teams from the local and partnership finals to get there. A massive achievement in the first place!! Well done Maya, Marli, Mia, Alice, Zoe, Aidan, Austin, Charlie, Jon and Max!
We were super excited and nervous to take part, there were 9 other teams, who had all beaten 20 school teams as well, all competing for the Tri – Golf Trophy! We had a lovely day and worked really hard in the first half ……. so well that we were in the lead!
So we were very excited and more nervous….. even the adults! We played as hard as we could congratulating each other at every shot. The scorers were so impressed with us they gave us a Team work baton! We were very proud.
Out of the 9 teams, we came 3rd!! WE CAME 3rd!! AMAZING! Well done Y4 tri – golf team. We are very proud. We will display the teamwork baton and certificate on the sports board in September!
10 members of the netball team went to Abbots Langley to take part in a friendly netball tournament. First we played Divine Saviour and Tanners won 8-7. It was fabulous to see how the ball went from end to end and both teams had great set pieces.
Next, we played Abbots and we dominated most of the match again with great set play from Erin, Marli, Ciara and Tia. Ciara’s shooting greatly improved as every time she shot, she scored! Well done Tanners for great team work. We look forward to the netball league in the Autumn Term, a great team developing.
This is the second delivery of library books bought through our commission from the Scholastic book fair. Thanks to all who contributed by buying books! The next fair will in November!
The School Council were lucky enough to visit The Houses of Parliament today. We were given a tour of the building by Harriet and Yasmin. During lunch we had a question and answer session with our local MP Richard Harrington. Check out our photos!
