We had great fun creating games on micro bits in our workshop this afternoon! Ask your child what they enjoyed about it!
Y1,2 3 and 4 pupils had the opportunity to take part in a gymnastics competition. We had been practising at lunchtime and entertaining the pupils in the packed lunch hall. They were extremely excited. It was our first time attending this event and we didn’t know what to expect. We took part in the vault and floor routines. We tried really hard and Y1/2 came 5th and Y3/4 came 8th. Well done children!
Year 6 have discussed the responsibility that comes with posting on social media sites, along with the importance of online privacy. We discussed how private photos and videos of individuals are for them to decide whether or not they should be shared on social media not others.
The children were reminded to be aware of what they are posting online including what they like and comment on. They were also reminded that if they bring their phones into school, that they must be switched off and remain in the office whilst they are at school. Phones must not be switched on again until they are off school grounds.
Y4 went to the indoor athletics and worked extremely hard in the track and field events. The boys came 4th and the girls came first!! Well done girls!
The girls team are now through to the sports partnership final at Royal Masonic on Thursday. We will keep you posted!
Good luck girls!
On Tuesday 4th February, two football teams went to Parmiters to play in a tournament. Both teams played amazingly well with huge amounts of effort and team spirit. They did us all proud. Well done to all the girls. Well done to Team A who are through to the finals on Thursday 27th February. Good luck!
Fifteen children from years 5 and 6 visited Leavesden Country Park to participate in the interview process for a new Park ranger. The children participated enthusiastically, enjoyed their visit considerably and were a credit to our school.
Some children were inspired by their trip to Leavesden Country Park last week and Autumn. They decided to make a picture using things that they found from nature in their breaks.
The children enjoyed discussing their achievements this half term with each other. Well done to all the children who attended. You have all worked really hard with your learning.
Book Exchange returns next week! Years 4-6 will be in Monday afternoon and EYFS up to Year 3 will be on Wednesday. Children need to bring in a book, leave it in their bag and then when called they will have the chance to go to the dining room and exchange for a new one! Simple!
On Sunday 6th October , over 80 pupils and parents took part in the 1k, 3k, 5k or 10k runs around Abbots Langley. It was an amazing turn out and fabulous to see so many green shirts! We have, for the 3rd year running, won the ‘best attendance’ trophy so well done to all of those who took part. Look at our fabulous Tanners team!
