Today in D&T we investigated soups and considered texture, appearance and taste.
The children enjoyed tasting a variety of soup today as part of the design phase in their DT project.
Today, the children in year six were filmed by Watford Football Club’s Community and and Education Trust for their Positive Minds Project which has just ended in school. The six week project has focused on mental health and strategies to help us all be more resilient with the challenges that life throws at us.
We have been so impressed with the quality of work from the Year 6 topic home learning this term, that we thought we would share a few with you.
In maths we made our Christmas cakes to decorate and sell at the school fair on 2nd December. Be sure to get yours!
We will be giving year six parents the opportunity to buy the ones their own child has decorated before the fair so look out for the letter.
This morning we have enjoyed an assembly from Revd. Waddell. Mr Gray from Three Rivers Refugee Centre also came to personally thank the children for the donations made. May we take this opportunity to thank you all for the generous donations made to such a worthy and local charity.
The children used their Kingswood experiences to plan a free verse poem based on the 3G swing. The children used all 5 senses to come up with figurative language to describe their experience on the 3G swing.
