Beech class loved taking part in activities for anti-bullying day & wearing their odd socks!
Today in a Cypress we learnt to use different devices to record sound.
Ash class have been very creative this week making poppies for Remembrance Day and completing Diwali activities.
In phonics we have recapped on the letter names and sounds for Ii, Nn, Mm and Dd. Once again the children accepted the challenge to ‘have a go’ at writing the letters using the rhymes taught.
The rhymes are: i – whoosh in freeze, down the insect’s body dot for the head. n – whoosh in freeze, down Nobby up and over his net. m – whoosh in freeze, Maisie mountain mountain. d – whoosh in freeze, around the dinosaur’s bottom up his tall neck and down to his feet.
Apple Nursery were excited to explore the new ‘Wizard and Witches Workshop’ today and we are looking forward to our activities next week based on ‘Room on the Broom’ as part of our new topic.
This afternoon, Pine class completed their mugs. They have all worked so well and should be very proud of their effort.

The rhymes for the letters taught are: s – whoosh in freeze, slither down the snake. a – whoosh in freeze, around the apple and down the leaf. t – whoosh in tall freeze, down the tower across the tower. p – whoosh in freeze, down the parrot’s tail and around the pirate’s face.
Apple Nursery have enjoyed exploring Autumn this week – collecting leaves and acorns, leaf rubbing, leaf sorting and counting as well as leaf pictures. We read the story ‘Don’t Hog the Hedge’ and learnt that sharing is caring.
