Mrs Vassiliou treated Pine class to a few games of Biscuit Bingo. All allergies and dietary requirements were catered for and a lot of fun was had by all.
The children have planned twelve business ideas for the school fair on Sunday, 30th June. Come along and try their ideas.
Months of planning and preparation involving all year groups across Tanners Wood school came together this weekend to create an amazing float all about Paddington 2. Well done and thank you to all involved, particularly the Year 2 parents who have given up so much of their time to make everything happen and to the stars of the show – the children who were part of the parade. We are proud to have won the award for ‘Best use of recycled materials’!
In maths we are using scales on maps to help us calculate distance!
Firstly, thank you for all your donations of 2L plastic bottles. We have been busy using them to put our greenhouse together with the help of Eco Club. We have completed one side of roof which takes 95 bottles! We need more donations and if anyone would be willing to come in and help after school one day please let the office know.
Also, please could we have no more milk bottles. Thank you again for your support.
Our lunchtime artists have struck again! Miss Benn has helped them to design another piece of symmetrical art using items from the field!
The children enjoyed a whole school history show which used drama and comedy to bring history to life in a fun and engaging way. The children seemed to thoroughly enjoy the performance.
Here is a great example of Andy Goldsworthy style art that the children did with Miss Benn on the KS2 field! I’m sure you will agree it is beautiful!
We are lucky enough to have Watford Football Club with us for the next few weeks, helping the children learn about the practical and theoretical sides to exercise. Please ask them about their learning!
