A huge well done to Tanners Football team who beat Abbots Langley School 4 – 2 in a thrilling game. The ball went up and down the pitch and many good shots saved by Luca, who was man of the match!
Excellent displays of football from all the boys – Luca, Joe, Ben Ch, Ben Cr, Harry, Arthur, Connor and Dean. It was really enjoyable to watch.

Last Thursday, Y3/4 went to Rickmansworth school to play in the rapid fire 6Ts tournament. In our first game we were so super excited and eager to win we kept running into each other! However, we calmed down in the second game and scored many 4run points. Well done Tanners!! The game is similar to cricket but a lot faster.
There are 6 tees with tennis balls and Otto and Charlie hit them with perfection through the yellow cones. Super score!

After each pair had a turn at batting and had run between the stumps, it was our turn to field. We had an organised routine to collect balls,tees and spots.
We really enjoyed this tournament, well played to Otto, Chase, Charlie, Mia, Lily, Luke and Theo. We did really well to come 4th out of 8 teams.
Children throughout the school took part in an assembly with Mrs Quereshi today, to discuss ideas that they thought was important about bullying. These ideas will be used to develop the schools new anti-bulling policy.
Children from all year groups took part in an anti – bullying assembly today, to discuss and consider what bullying is and what we can do as a school to prevent it.
Oak class investigated sound waves. They used a plastic cup telephone connected with string. The children checked if the sound waves could travel along the string and what helped the sound travel better.
Once we had made our deductions, the children designed a poster too sell this amazing new toy they had discovered!
Well done to Harry, Jacob, Tinashe, Toby, Ben , Kyle and Zoe who go through to the spring term cross country final!
Year four have been learning about the legend of Beowulf and Grendel. The children have read the legend and drew their own images of the monster.
Oak Class finished off a very successful term studying the Anglo Saxons by delivering a fantastic assembly on the topic. The children were clear, funny and brilliantly organised. Well done Oak class. As part of the assembly, we presented our published non chronological reports which look amazing.
The children joined Mrs Quereshi this morning for a tea party, to celebrate their amazing achievements in their learning his half term.
