The whole school enjoyed watching a drama production of the Jungle Book this afternoon.
In June, Oak class had an exciting opportunity to investigate light in a workshop….We made Kaleidoscopes, used periscopes, made shadow puppets and discovered how our pupils react to a change in light. Great stuff.
On Wednesday, Oak class we’re lucky enough to have the chance to experience virtual reality headsets. As a class we travelled to Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, the Great Wall of China and Paris. It was very exciting, particularly finding ourselves in the middle of a gladiator fight!
The School Council were lucky enough to visit The Houses of Parliament today. We were given a tour of the building by Harriet and Yasmin. During lunch we had a question and answer session with our local MP Richard Harrington. Check out our photos!
Year four had an amazing residential trip at Phasels Wood. It would be quicker to say what we didn’t do…The weather was excellent, the children fabulous and it was a great two days. Thanks year 4
Today, Year 4 have experienced life as an Ancient Greek. They designed and made mosaics, carved vases, tasted Greek foods, made a laurel leaf headpiece and competed in the Tanners Wood Olympics. The children also cemented their understanding of the Trojan War and carved their own vases. Some fantastic Greek learning and a lot of fun too….
