We have become historians! We have been using iPads and sources to find out lots of information about Neil Armstrong and the moon landing.
We had a visit from the evil Hindu god Ravana. We used a drama activity to think about how the characters from the story would have felt.
This morning we have enjoyed an assembly from Revd. Waddell. Mr Gray from Three Rivers Refugee Centre also came to personally thank the children for the donations made. May we take this opportunity to thank you all for the generous donations made to such a worthy and local charity.
We learnt about the Hindu celebration of Divali which is today. We coloured rangoli patterns which are part of the celebrations.
This week in Year 1 we have been looking at the weather and seasons. We have been measuring different types of weather and also measuring our shadows to look at the length of the day!
During our Geography days we have been learning about Scotland. In Maths we have been plotting a route on a map of Edinburgh using the points of a compass. Today we went outside and followed our routes on a big map!
