Today in Larch class we used atlases to find where different countries were. We plotted them on a blank world map to develop our understanding of geography .
Today the children are improving their numbers skills, knowledge and subtraction tens frames and part models. Once they are confident with the part model this helps them to solve the sum and will eventually help them learn their number bonds more fluently.
In Rowan class, we have really enjoyed learning about how poor children lived in the Victorian times. We presented a news report explaining what we had found out.
In science this week we labelled the different parts of the human body. We drew around one person from each group.
Year 6 children enjoyed using their experiences from Kingswood as inspiration for writing a short story in English this week. The children worked hard to use emotive and descriptive language within their stories to engage the reader.
