The choir have arrived safely at the O2 for Young Voices. We are just beginning rehearsals and can’t wait for showtime!

Larch Class had a teacher from Watford Schools Trust talk to them about what a parable is and how God believes in all people. We read the parable of The Prodigal Son and learnt a lot. Thank you Mrs Jordan!
Fir Class has been learning about graffiti artist, in particular, Banksy. We have found out that the artists make stencils at home and then use them to create ‘art’. We made our own stencils and made our own print. We also discussed whether graffiti was art or vandalism. What do you think?
Each class has been working hard to create some fabulous displays around our school. The theme was ‘Teamwork’ and they have certainly shown their teamwork skills in various ways with wonderful links to their learning.
The children used cubes to represent arrays for multiplication facts such as 5 x 9 then they regrouped these into smaller amounts that were easier to calculate. Have a look at our written calculations.
Holly class had great fun looking photos of themselves as a baby and looking at the ways they had grown.
This Thursday saw the much anticipated Indoor athletics competition held at Parmiters and great fun was had by all! Oak’s Girls came 2nd overall while the Boys came 3rd, in Maple the Boys came 6th while the Girls came third. Everyone put in maximum effort and have the right to be incredibly proud!
This week in reception, some huge dinosaur footprints appeared in our classroom. We decided to estimate how many of different items we could fit inside them. We all had different ideas on how many shoes there were inside the footprint but we all agreed that the best to check who was right was to count the shoes. How many do you estimate there are ?
