Today Apple Nursery have been learning about how to be safe online through a story about ‘Smartie the Penguin’. If we see or do something we are unsure about, always tell an adult! Smartie taught us a song to remind us how to stay safe…
Before you tap and click,
You need to stop and think,
And TELL someone!
We coloured in some pictures of Smartie the Penguin.

As part of computing week we discussed the importance of staying safe online. We looked at different social media sites and how to protect ourselves and the laws around these sites. We then acted out different scenarios and the best way of how to deal with a situation if it arises.
A selection of Y1 and Y2 children are taking part in a multi sports lunch club and have enjoyed learning how to play dodgeball! They made sure they ran quickly!
The children took the lead today and spoke to their peers about social media platforms, such as Facebook. They raised some interesting questions such as; why do you have to be careful on YouTube if you just watch videos on it? We discussed E safety as a class.
