In our maths lessons, we have been learning about different scales and numbers. We used notes, coins, weights, length and capacity.
The children enjoyed using practical resources to revise our times tables. We recapped on counting in groups using number beads and using arrays for multiplication.
This week we explored multiplication using a range of methods. This is Juniper class using the number beads to count in various multiples. We also recapped on multiplication arrays.
We had an amazing time in computing! We used the new headphones so we could listen to the lady tell us how to sort the animals. Mrs Arthurs was a little sad to notice so many children cannot yet log onto purple mash independently. Please keep practising at home, it makes such a difference in the lessons.
We have been learning about microorganisms and the diseases they cause. We learnt about the history of diseases, when and how they were discovered and cures were found. We acted out the discoveries to help our understanding.
In Apple nursery we have started our new topic ‘Let it Snow’. This week we have been making marks and exploring different textures using foam and paint. We have begun making snowy scene pictures using foam paint and will add to them over the coming weeks.
We have been looking at lots of poetry and have acted out our favourite parts. We all tried very hard and had lots of fun.
We would like to thank you for all your help and support this term and wish you a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year
Love from Fir Class xx
Oak class have applied their pop art knowledge to create seasonal images for their calendars. They have repeated a pattern using contrasting colours. Here is a sneaky peek at some of the sections. Watch out four a finished calendar in a home near you soon….
Can you guess the season?
