Paper mache volcano!

In Larch class, we have had a fantastic learning opportunity making volcanoes using plastic bottles and cardboard boxes. We have worked in groups, using our teamwork skills to firstly, make a volcano shape using scrunched up newspaper and masking tape. Next, we used paper mache and thin strips of newspaper to stick onto our volcano shape. We are now letting it dry in order to paint it the correct colours (we will share our finished volcanoes next week!)

Super behaviour from Reception!

Reception were very enthusiastic about going to watch ‘Tanners Wood’s got Talent’ this morning. They enjoyed watching the acts and were all very proud of a certain young man from Beech who confidently performed his magic act to the whole school! Their impeccable  behaviour was commented on by lots of staff so well done to all. This afternoon Reception were treated to a fabulous performance of ‘The Jungle Book’. Once again lots of fun was had by all and all of Reception watched very sensibly.
