Nursery were fantastic today taking part in their events for Sports Day! Thank you to the Year 6 House Captains for helping and to all the family members of Nursery children who came along to watch.
In PSHE we discussed the idea of a McDonalds being built on the field outside our school. We talked about the good and bad points of having a fast food restaurant on our doorstep. I asked the children to justify their reasons too.
Well done to Daisy for being chosen for ‘Parent and Players’ trophy and to Chase for being awarded top goal scorer!
Today’s Virtual Reality Workshop was fantastic! The children all said how much they loved the experience and would like to repeat it. This was very obvious by the continual exclamations of ‘Wow’ heard throughout, and as you can also see being said in some of these photos!
Rowen class really enjoyed learning about WW1 through their virtual reality headsets
We had a sneaky play in our science lesson! Actually it was work! We were investigating which forces we used when we played- push or pull. Can you guess? http://tannerswood.herts.sch.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/img_0491.mov
The class are getting a 3D view of the trenches!
Year 6 enjoyed exploring and learning about the heart and how it pumps blood around our body.
We have been studying the different layers of the Earth, to understand what you find underground. We used different coloured plasticine to show the different layers of the Earth (inner core, outer core, mantle and crust) and made our own Earth model!
