In Fir class we have been busy designing and making puppets as part of our D T work. Each puppet is unique and special. We think they look wonderful on display in our classroom!

Rowan class have been learning about advent and Hanukkah this afternoon. We have been looking at why Christians celebrate Christmas and why Jewish people celebrate Hanukkah. WE talked about traditional games played during each of theses festivals.
Today in maths, to stay with the Christmas spirit, we started to design a party for 6 people. We have started by looking at what food we need for our party and researched this by using the I-pads. We went onto various food websites, found prices and multiplied or added the amounts depending on how many we needed to feed the 6 people.
We are very proud of the choir who sang 7 Christmas songs to the residents of Arden House. Well done everyone! Merry Christmas!
We are learning about naming ceremonies and Maryam came in to talk to us about Muslim ceremonies, particularly naming ceremonies. We learnt the newborns are welcomed into the world by Muslims whispering the words of Adhan into the right ear of the baby.
Today, the house captains, head boy, head girl, deputy head boy and deputy head girl organised a film quiz for Key Stage 2. Year 3 and 4 did their quiz this morning.
Rowan have finally finished off their amazing mugs this week. They have worked hard this term to design a piece of pottery in the style of Emma Bridgewater. Here are some photos of us in action!
