The children were given the task to build a bridge using only 10 sheets of newspaper and had to place a water bottle on top of their finished bridge. The chairs supporting the bridge, must be exactly 43cm apart.

Watford Schools Trust visited Year 1 today to teach us all about the Bible. We learnt about the story of The Lost Sheep and even made our own Sheep!
In Science today, we learnt about the effects of UV light. We discussed what UV light is, how it enters our atmosphere and the damage it can cause to our bodies. We conducted an experiment where we closed our eyes for 30 seconds and then watched what happened to our pupils. We were amazed to see that our pupil shrunk as we opened our eyes!
Elm class had a visit from Watford Schools Trust this afternoon. We learnt about the parable of the Lost Sheep with the help of our very own shepherd.
