In Rowen class we were really lucky to have a member of the visual impairment team come in to show us what it would be like to have a visual impairment. We tried on different glass to see what it would be like.
The children in Ash class were absolute superstars yesterday during their class assembly. We were extremely proud of each and everyone one of them for standing in front of such an enormous audience, saying their lines clearly and doing some serious moving and grooving. Thank you to Tanners Wood staff, children and parents for such positive and enthusiastic comments about the assembly.
10 members of the netball team went to Abbots Langley to take part in a friendly netball tournament. First we played Divine Saviour and Tanners won 8-7. It was fabulous to see how the ball went from end to end and both teams had great set pieces.
Next, we played Abbots and we dominated most of the match again with great set play from Erin, Marli, Ciara and Tia. Ciara’s shooting greatly improved as every time she shot, she scored! Well done Tanners for great team work. We look forward to the netball league in the Autumn Term, a great team developing.
Elm and Cypress worked in groups this afternoon with Abbots Langley School. We were participating in a range of multi sports activities. Here are some photos of us in action!
This afternoon, Abbots Langley Year 1 joined us for a multi-skills afternoon organised by our Year 5 Play Leaders.
Years 5 and 6 really enjoyed playing rounders with the game on coaches for national schools sports week
To help celebrate National Schools Sports Week, we are writing news reports about a sporting event.
